Our "ambition" is to depict the behavior of social sharing through protocols.

In the previous article, we talked about a dApp we are working on: CoLib 🫱 Created an interesting dApp CoLib

In this article, we will continue to talk about how our "ambition" goes beyond this.

Creating a Protocol#

The nomland protocol aims to connect content creators, content distributors, content consumers, and community-based content creators, in order to better connect the two pieces of the puzzle that web3 claims to be: creator economy and social interaction. Through this bridge, all content (and various users around the content) will be connected using blockchain technology, and true value distribution will be achieved in the future.

As a protocol, nomland will exist as a public good and serve everyone around the concept of "sharing," which is the most natural social behavior for humans. Our ambition is to depict the act of social sharing through a protocol for the first time. Sharing is no longer just a one-way giving, but also a way for individuals to accumulate reputation and even wealth.

We believe this will change the traditional paradigm of online social interaction.

How Does Social Interaction Capture Commercial Value?#

Web2 platforms and KOLs have found that ultimately, it can only be achieved through traffic advertising or directly selling products using traffic. We believe that this approach is indirect and inefficient.

Humans need social interaction not for selling or being forced to view advertisements.

Humans inherently need social interaction. The process of social interaction itself is valuable. Humans exchange information, share opinions, receive feedback, inspire and learn from each other through social interaction. This includes both the exchange and creation of value.

Why don't we invent a new GDP (or something else) to depict this kind of value? Isn't web3 the value internet? Perhaps we can discuss more about value, but we won't go into detail due to the length of this article.

What Does the Future Look Like with nomland?#

In the future, we hope to see that everything we discuss in our daily lives (and the flow of value) has the conditions to be recorded.

We can share our opinions on an article and discuss it with the community (which can also be called a virtual world café) and friends with common interests. We can also share research results on a specific field in the digital nomad community, such as how to obtain a digital nomad visa or the experience of living in Lisbon as a digital nomad. Of course, we can even share our experience using a new vacuum cleaner or the joy of DIYing a niche mechanical keyboard.

Isn't it interesting to share these everyday experiences?

And I believe you have also seen the flow of value within communities. Well, let our protocol help record all of this, regardless of where it happens, not just on-chain or off-chain, Twitter, Telegram groups, Discord...

We don't want to change people's social habits and environments, nor do we need them to learn new concepts such as decentralization, web3, blockchain, etc. But we want them to benefit from these new concepts.
