Created an interesting dapp called CoLib

Based on the existing capabilities of Crossbell (which means that it is on the same chain as xlog 😁

The product functionality is very simple, allowing anyone to share content with others to help distribute good content to those who are more likely to enjoy it. There are also plans to incentivize distribution in the future, using this as an entry point to explore the creator economy. In simple terms, it is a content community curation.

Currently, the demo only supports curation/sharing in Discord groups, with plans to expand to more platforms in the future.

We have just finished the internal testing for 3 days, and there should be some data on the chain that can be viewed. Here is a small part of my own data, feel free to follow this character 🫱 https://crossbell.io/@854a3f9ba649--854a3f9ba649-759d

There is also a web showcase for the engineering version at https://www.colib.app/ (calling for frontend engineers to help us)

Here is the product introduction v0.1#

Colib supports sharing/curating any internet content with the community, and stores the parsed content on the chain. It also supports on-chain storage for discussions related to the content, aggregated based on multiple dimensions such as content, community, and users. No matter which community you publish your content in, it should belong to you.

Current MVP implemented features and usage instructions:#

Curation: In community conversations, you can submit URLs and share recommendations for curation topics predefined by the community (you can use the /ls command to view them).
Discussion: After successful curation, a dedicated discussion thread will be opened for the curated content, and the content in the thread will be automatically synchronized to the blockchain for decentralized storage. The official version will also provide Discord verification and claiming, so that all the content you publish truly belongs to you.
View/Subscribe: After successful curation, the system will provide a link. The basic version provided by MVP allows access to all topics and curated content in the community. The engineering version can also view all the data stored on the chain. Subscriptions and notifications will be available in the future.

Colib Value#

Currently, we are still in the very early stages of the project, and many features are not yet fully developed. However, the recording and storage of content from the internet can already be seen in its initial form. We believe that decentralized technology can bring something to this world, whether it is immutability and transparency, or the ability for even community discussions to be truly owned by individuals.

Many people have already realized the importance of information distribution. In Web 2.0, algorithms determine what you see, and the internet is filled with a large amount of false content that no one can fully discern. I want to record every piece of content and subject it to public scrutiny. It's okay if someone's content has errors, but if they maliciously publish false content, everyone can decide for themselves that they are not a trustworthy source of information. The ultimate power should belong to each individual. And those who want to build reputation can also demonstrate their trustworthiness to the community through continuous accumulation.

Engineers are welcome to join the development of this open-source project, and maybe we can participate in hackathons together. https://github.com/nom-land Feel free to discuss, collide, and join us in building and sharing achievements.

Thank you for your interest in participating in the internal testing. The testing records will also be recorded as contributions to CoLib. Probably something.
