"Declaration of the Tokenomics Beyond Fi"

dDAO Discord has opened a new channel called "Tokenomics Beyond Fi", and this text is its opening statement.

Let's start with some complaints. Since its establishment, dDAO has been constantly questioned about its positioning of "exploring governance, not doing real work". Many people ask, "If you talk about governance, what exactly are you governing?" But in the crypto community, few people question what DeFi has actually created.

A Healthy Society Cannot Only Have Fi#

There are many articles discussing tokenomics, and many impressive institutions and teams are researching it. Unfortunately, most of the examples given are DeFi, investment DAOs, venture DAOs, and GameFi.

If there is a so-called metaverse in the future of web3, I hope it is DeSoc, rather than a new generation of digital labor enslaved in the "Player One" movie.

And all of this cannot be achieved solely through various Fis, financial derivatives, and capital operations. Since the advent of Crypto, from ICO to DeFi summer, but in the end, it is not just about finance.

Tokens are the Blood of DeSoc#

Currency is the blood of a society, delivering nutrients to all parts of the economy. The key to evaluating a monetary system is whether resources can be allocated more effectively.

A healthy society cannot only have currency and finance. Monetary economics, financial economics, and political economics are all part of social sciences. Currency and finance should not exist independently; they should serve the real economy.

As tokenomics in DeSoc, how can we help the true "metaverse" thrive?

This channel wants to explore more of the non-Fi aspects of tokenomics.

Web3 Beyond Fi#

How should a nascent web3 native project design its tokenomics? To better help the project operate and expand outward, to enable stakeholders to reach consensus rather than a zero-sum game.

Who should have the governance rights of DAOs (decentralized communities)? How can Social Tokens overcome the criticism of lacking "value capture" ability? Who are the contributors, what are the differences in contributions, and when is Liquid and Ownership more applicable? What are the pros and cons of single-token and dual-token models?

We vaguely see some possibilities, but we also know that this is not an easy task.

Join us in exploring tokenomics beyond Fi and building a DeSoc that goes beyond finance.

DeSoc, Beyond Fi.
